Our Story
Sweet Water Manor began with something simple, a daughter who wanted better care for her parents.
Our founder, Estelle Lopez, saw firsthand how difficult it was to find a place that truly felt like home. When nothing met her standards, she made the decision to create something better.
Alongside her son, Manuel Rodriguez, she opened the first Sweet Water Manor home in 1994. Built on the belief that care should be personal, compassionate, and rooted in real relationships.
What started as one home quickly grew into a family of homes across Tampa Bay, but our philosophy has never changed:
Every resident should feel comfortable, cared for, and truly at home.
Our Vision
We believe assisted living should feel like home; not a large, impersonal facility.
That’s why our homes are intentionally small, allowing us to provide more personalized attention, stronger relationships, and a level of care that simply can’t be matched in larger settings.
Here, your loved one isn’t just another resident… they’re part of our family
A Team That Treats Your Family Like Our Own
Many of our caregivers have been with us for years, not just because it’s their job, but because they truly care.
They build real relationships with our residents, learning their routines, preferences, and personalities so they can provide care that feels natural, respectful, and personal.
It’s this consistency and compassion that makes all the difference.
